What is the Process for Personal Branding Photography?

Something I get asked pretty often is “What is the typical process for working with you?” so I thought I would pull back the curtain and share some details on what it looks like to get your personal branding photography done!

It can be intimidating to not know what you’re committing to when booking a photographer, especially when the photos are of you (and everyone knows how awkward it can feel in front of a camera).

At long last, we’ve found each other and we can’t wait to get to work! After getting in touch over email or by the contact form on my site, we’ll discuss your project needs and what you’re looking for in a photography partner. If you decide we’re a great fit, I’ll send over the contract and invoice that outlines the work we’ll create together and once those are signed you’re offically booked!

You and I will hop on a video chat or phone call to plan out your session! We'll discuss outfits, location, and you’ll share all the details about your branding and voice so I can best represent you in the final photos. I’ll have made a mood board for the shoot that we can discuss as a guiding light for the content. We’ll also just get to know one another so that you feel comfortable with me when we get to creating content together!

It’s finally here! We’ll meet to do your photography session in the location that you and I chose together. Your photoshoot will last anywhere from 1-4 hours depending on the content we’re working to produce. We’ll get into the space and get comfortable, making sure we take some time to get you feeling good in front of the camera (this includes lots of jokes). You’ll have outfit changes, music to get the vibes right, and honestly so much fun.

After your photoshoot, I’ll go through all the photos and prepare a sample gallery for you to review in about 2 weeks. I’ll exclude all the blinking photos so you don’t have to waste your time clicking through them. ;) It’ll be anywhere from 30-150 sample photos depending on your type of session for you to view and choose your absolute faves from!

You’ll go through the sample gallery and make your final selects! Depending on the type of session you have, you will get a different number of images included in the price. If you would like additional images, you can always purchase those separately!

For most galleries I will send you the final edited JPEGS in about 4-6 weeks after you make your final selects! If you’re in a crunch, we can discuss what expedited editing looks like.
