Chicago Branding Photography Session | Layne Fargo
If I could describe to you my dream photography session as an angsty teenager in Indiana, this would be it. When Layne first reached out to me about photographing her author headshots I just about lost my mind - Layne is an author and her debut book is a feminist psychological thriller set in the Chicago theater scene. I mean, seriously - could she be anymore kickass? We connected immediately over our love of moody portraits, our senses of humor and our shared love of the Chicago creative boss babe community.
My absolute favorite part about personal branding sessions is that it's usually part photo session part business meeting - Layne and I first met to talk about her branding photography and quickly got into other topics like the inspiration for her book, where she hopes to go next in her career and what her story has been until this point. She's such an interesting and fun woman to talk to and getting to know her through this experience was so so soooo much fun. If there's anything I love more than wandering around Ravenswood during sunset with a thoughtful and funny woman while simultaneously taking gorgeous photographs, I've yet to find it.
